Boys cross country team wins meet at Maple River

The Sibley East varsity boys cross country team captured top honors during the Maple River Invitational on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 11.
Blue Earth Area placed second while Maple River finished third. United South Central placed fourth while Le Sueur-Henderson finished fifth. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown placed sixth while Minnesota Valley Lutheran finished seventh. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva was eighth.
Senior Cole Bruhn, who received a medal, placed second with a time of 18:27. Junior Justin Bennett finished 14th with a clocking of 19:41 while senior Sam Thies placed 15th with a showing of 19:43. Junior Jack Ballalatak finished 16th with a time of 19:52 while freshman Kristian Schow placed 25th with a clocking of 20:10.
