Bradley ‘Brad’ Schauer, 40, Hamburg

Bradley “Brad” Scot Schauer, age 40, of Hamburg, passed away at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis on Sunday, Sept. 7.  
Funeral services were held at All Saints Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America on Friday, Sept. 12. Pastor Eric Aune officated.
The pianist was Jane Fasching. Congregational hymns were “This Is My Father’s World,” “Jesus Loves Me,” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.”
Casket bearers were Dan Thoele, Doug Albers, Rob Thoele, Jesse Schauer, Jeremy Otto, Adam Glander, and Chris Quast.
Honorary casket bearers were Erica Pawelk, Lucas Pawelk and Michael Albers.
Interment was in the Hill Cemetery in Norwood Young America.  
Bradley “Brad” Scot Schauer was born in Glencoe  on Sept. 19, 1973.  He is the son of William “Bill” and Shirley (Winter) Schauer.   Bradley was baptized and confirmed in his faith at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Green Isle. He attended school in Arlington and graduated with the Class of 1992.  Bradley went on to further his education, earning his degree in tool making from Hutchinson Technical College in Hutchinson.  
On April 5, 1997, Brad was united in marriage to Christina “Chris” Pawelk by Pastor Fry at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America. The couple made their home on the farm site that Brad bought near Hamburg.  They were blessed with two children, Devin and Kylie.
Brad started working in high school and through the years worked for Young America Corporation, Medallion Cabinetry, Fluoroware and for the past 12 years worked at Le Sueur Incorporated.  He was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America.
 Brad loved hunting, fishing and archery, having a knack to catch what he was after.  His greatest treasure was his family and friends. He and his son were “Team Schauer” whether hunting or fishing and each year he diligently prepared with his daughter for the Daddy/-Daughter Dance.  
Following an accident, Brad passed away at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis on Sunday, Sept. 7. He will be dearly missed.
Brad is survived by his wife, Chris Schauer of Hamburg; son, Devin Schauer of Hamburg; daughter, Kylie Schauer of Hamburg; parents, Bill and Shirley Schauer of Green Isle; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Colleen Pawelk of Young America; brother, Rodney Schauer of Glencoe; grandparents, Louise Schauer of Arlington; and Ken and Arlene Fabel of Cologne; brother-in-law, Jake (Angie) Pawelk of Waverly; niece and nephew, Erica and Lucas Pawelk; godson, Michael Albers; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. 
Brad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Flora Winter; Clarence Schauer, and Walter and Judy Pawelk.
