Deborah Dawson installed as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington

Deborah Dawson was installed as the pastor at the Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington during a ceremony on Sunday morning, Nov. 1.
Dawson, who was born in Marietta, Ohio, moved to Columbus, Ohio during her high school years.


She started to attend Ohio State, but took a break and married her husband, Timothy, in 1975. She later received her degree in nursing in 1986.The couple eventually moved to Pottstown, Pa., in 1990.


Dawson attended The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 1992 and received her Master of Divinity in 2000.
She was ordained as pastor at the Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford, Pa., during the same weekend in May of 2000. She served as the associate pastor there for four years.
