Irish reach 25 victories

The Green Isle Irish baseball team posted three victories during the past week.
The Irish, 26-4 overall, are currently in a best of three-game playoff series with Norwood.
Green Isle won the first game 7-1 at Norwood on Tuesday night, July 22. The results of that game will be published in next week’s edition of the Arlington Enterprise.
The Irish will host Norwood at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24. A third game, if necessary, will be played in Green Isle at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 27. 
If the Irish win the playoff series against Norwood, they will advance to the region tournament at Brownton. The first game is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.

The visiting Green Isle Irish baseball team banged out 13 hits and trounced Mayer 14-4 in seven innings on Wednesday night, July 16.
Bjorn Hansen belted a double and a home run in the win.  Alex Twenge contributed a single and a double while Nate Pilacinski and Austin Brockhoff collected two singles each. Chris Knoll slammed a homer while Axel Twenge, Tom Juberian, Jeremy Ische and Zach Herd added one single apiece.
