Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Prescher, 57, Rochester

Jeffrey “Jeff” Prescher, 57, Rochester, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his residence on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
A memorial service for Jeff was held at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13.
Visitation began 90 minutes prior to the memorial service.
Jeff was born  on Jan. 9, 1957, the son of Victor and Marilyn Prescher, Arlington. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. He graduated from the Arlington- Green Isle High School in 1975. Jeff married Gail Soeffker at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington on Nov. 18, 1978. The couple later divorced. Jeff was currently employed at the Mayo Clinic Rochester. He also owned and operated his own business, JP Tap Service. Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed annual trips to Ball Club Lake in Northern Minnesota. He especially enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family.
Jeff is survived by Gail and their two sons, Jason and Brian, both of Rochester, two grandsons, Bennett and Jaxson, of Rochester, a sister Vicki McQuarrie, of Prior Lake, and her children, Karina and Kevin; and a special friend, Cheryl Weiby, and her sons, Mark and Scott of Rochester.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Marilyn Prescher; his brother-in-law, Rodger McQuarrie; and his father-in-law, Roy Soeffker.
