Nytes requests recount

Sibley County Commissioner Jim Nytes has requested a recount in the race for First District County Commissioner during the Primary Election which was held on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
The Sibley County Auditor will conduct the recount in the Commissioners’ Room at the Sibley County Courthouse in Gaylord. beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25.
The recount will be open to the public and candidates may be represented by counsel.
Nytes, a first-term County Commissioner, made the request pursuant to Minnesota Statue 204C.36 after he lost by just two votes in the Primary Election.
