The petition to repair Sibley County Ditch #39 was moved to the agenda for the County Board meeting on Tuesday, April 28.
The County Board made the move to allow Sibley County Attorney Dave Schauer time to review the petition.

Hours Denied
The Board denied a request by the Sibley County Extension Committee to increase the Extension Educator position from 50 percent to 75 percent.  With the recent departure of Julie Sievert, the Extension Committee was hoping to advertise the vacant educator position at 75 percent which would allow the University of Minnesota Extension to offer a full benefit package with the position.  The Extension Committee felt that a 75 percent position better reflects the number of hours being spent in the position and would expand their recruitment efforts to a larger pool of qualified applicants.
