School building bond will be on Nov. 4 ballot

The Sibley East School Board, during its regular meeting on Monday evening, Aug. 18, voted 5-0 and adopted a resolution  relating to the issuance of school building bonds not to exceed $43,045,000 for the construction of new elementary school in Gaylord and renovation/additions of a high school/middle school in Arlington and calling a special election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
School Board members Brian Brandt, Beth DuFrane, Anne Karl, Missy Weber and Dan Woehler all voted in favor of the resolution. School Board member Scott Dose had a prior commitment and was unable to attend the meeting.
The question on the ballot shall be, “Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 2310 (Sibley East Public Schools) be authorized to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $43,045,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction and equipping of a new elementary school facility in Gaylord; the sale or demolition of the existing school facility in Gaylord; and the renovation, repair, remodeling, equipping and construction of additions and improvements to the existing school site and facility in Arlington to convert that facility into a high school/middle school facility?”
