SE School Board tables resolution

The Sibley East School Board, during its regular monthly meeting on Monday night, Aug. 18, voted 5-0 and approved a motion to table action on a complex resolution covert voter approved referendum authority to a board approved referendum authority and authorize a new approved referendum authority.
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton, last March, signed into law a tax bill that expands the Location Equity Revenue (LER) program to the same rate to every school district in Minnesota. That means in August every school board will have the opportunity to levy operating dollars on the Referendum Market Value (RMV) tax base up to $424 per pupil.
