The State of Minnesota has given Sibley County a $500,000 grant to improve the curves on County Road 160, but those who live along the curve have many concerns about increasing the curve speed.

A public hearing was held on May 7 to hear questions and concerns from those who live along the curve.  The current design is for a 35 mile-per-hour curve. The proposal is to change the design to a 50 or 55 mile-per-hour curve.  Public Works Director Tim Becker presented the top five concerns/questions and answers to the County Commissioners at the June 23 Board meeting.
