The visiting Sibley East varsity football team opened its season with a 55-6 loss to Tri-City United on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 22.
The Wolverines scored their lone touchdown late in the game on a short pass from sophomore Gavin Bates to junior Scott Holmquist.
Gavin Bates completed three of 11 passing attempts for 50 yards and one touchdown.
