Volleyball team beats LS-H, falls to Jordan in playoffs

The Sibley East varsity girls volleyball split two matches in the Section 2AA North Sub-Section Volleyball Tournament during the past week.
The Lady Wolverines, under the direction of head coach Chip Wolverton, conclude the season with a 6-1 mark in the Minnesota River Conference and a 26-4 record overall. This is the best record for Sibley East since the 2002 team finished 27-4.

The Sibley East varsity girls volleyball team swept visiting Le Sueur-Henderson 3-0 during the opening round of the Section 2AA North Sub-Section Volleyball Tournament at Gaylord on Thursday night, Oct. 23.
The Lady Wolverines swept the three games 25-20, 25-18 and 25-22 respectively.
Senior Karley Lind converted 15 of 17 serves with two aces and collected 19 set assists and four digs. Senior Autumn Dose had 11 of 12 serves and contributed 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks. Junior Megan Krentz compiled nine kills, four blocks and four digs while senior Shelby Voight recorded 18 digs. Junior McKayla Stumm had 13 of 13 serves and nine digs while junior Katie Tuchtenhagen added 11 set assists and six kills.
