A rural Arlington man was pronounced dead after a tree fell on him in a pasture about four miles north of Arlington on Tuesday night, according to the Sibley County Sheriff’s Department.

The sheriff department received the 911 call at approximately 7:39 p.m.

The rescue workers found Marvin Ziesmer, 62, under a tree which had fallen on him, according to the report. Ziesmer was on a four-wheeler attempting to herd his cattle from the pasture due to the stormy weather. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Arlington Fire Department and Arlington Ambulance assisted at the scene.
