The visiting Sibley East varsity girls softball team surrendered a three-run lead and was edged by Waterville-Elysian-Morristown 5-4 during the opening round of the Section 2AA Girls Softball Tournament on Tuesday afternoon, May 24.

The Lady Wolverines took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a RBI single by Alli Harter and a two-run double off the bat of Morgan Stearns.

Sibley East had a chance to extend its lead one inning later, but the Lady Wolverines failed to score with the bases loaded and no outs.
