Arlington A’s edge Gaylord 4-3

The Arlington A’s baseball team edged the visiting Gaylord Islanders 4-3 on Friday night, May 20.


The A’s, who held a 3-0 lead after six innings, committed four errors and surrendered three runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Arlington scored the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, Nathan Thomes singled and eventually scored on a two-out single by Lucas Schwope.


Arlington A’s pitcher Matt Pichelmann hurled the entire game and recorded the mound victory. The right hander, who did not allow an earned run, yielded only four hits. He also fanned 10.
