Adeline Alice (ZumBerge) (Harms) Klancke, age 88, of Norwood Young America, passed away at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Funeral services were held at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. Pastor Donald Andrix officiated.
The organist was Cheryl Andrix.
Special music by  Emanuel LWML was “Softly and Tenderly.”
Congregational hymns were “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.”
Casket bearers were  Adeline’s grandsons, Kevin Harms, Tim Harms, Eric Harms, Patrick Harms, Shawn Harms, Jordan Harms, Aaron Harms, Luke Panning and Joel Panning.
Interment followed at the church cemetery.
 Adeline Alice (ZumBerge) (Harms) Klancke was born in Plato on Feb. 28, 1928.  She was the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Litzau) ZumBerge.  Adeline was baptized as an infant on March 11, 1928, by Rev. Eyrich at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Plato and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 27, 1941, by Rev. Dysterheft at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township. She received her education at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Parochial School and graduated with the Glencoe High School Class of 1946.                          
On May 15, 1949, Adeline was united in marriage to Willard Harms by Rev. Schaller at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township.  Adeline and Willard made their home on Willard’s family farm and later moved into Hamburg.  Their marriage was blessed with six children, Kenneth, Ronald, Warren, Dale, Galen and Karen. They shared over 43 years of marriage until Willard passed away on Oct. 3, 1992.  On May 20, 1995, Adeline was united in marriage to Lowell Klancke by Pastor Donald Andrix at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg.  They shared over 16 years of marriage until Lowell passed away on Feb. 9, 2012.  After Lowell’s death, Adeline made her home at Peace Villa and in 2015 moved to The Harbor both in Norwood Young America.  
Adeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She was an active member at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota, where she sang in the choir and was also a member of the Emanuel LWML.
Adeline was a caregiver and loved having a house full of people.  She enjoyed shaking dice, playing bingo and cards multiple times a week.  Adeline loved embroidering, reading, listening to old time music and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.  She also enjoyed her Peace Villa/Harbor family and friends.  Adeline cherished the time spent visiting and telling stories to her children, grandchildren and friends.
Adeline is survived by her  children, Kenneth (Laurie) Harms of Grinnell, Iowa, Warren (Joy) Harms of Norwood Young America, Dale (Carolyn) Harms of Norwood Young America, Galen Harms of Norwood Young America, and Karen (Dean) Panning of Hamburg; step children, Susan (Brad) Johnson of Clarkfield, Steven Klancke of Green Isle, Brenda Klancke of Hamburg, James (Kim) Klancke of Independence, Nancy (Jon) Blaeser of Nisswa; grandchildren, Kevin Harms, Tim (Allison) Harms, Eric (Staci) Harms, Patrick Harms, Shawn (Malli) Harms, Danna (Joe) Lemke, Crystal (Matt) Hoen, Kassandra Harms, Jenny Braunworth, Jordan Harms, Aaron Harms, Kacie (Nolan) Kloempken, Abbie Harms, Leah (Tim) Murphy, Kelli (Ben) Schlagel, Luke Panning, Joel (Ellen) Panning, David (Amy) Johnson, Darrin (Kelly) Johnson, Brent Johnson, Brian (Liz) Klancke, Dan (Teresa Kuhl) Klancke, Lauryn Klancke, Andrew Klancke, Catherine Blaeser, Elizabeth Blaeser and Mitchel Blaeser; 26 great grandchildren; sister, Clarice Henning; sister-in-law, Jean Harms; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Adeline is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Gertrude ZumBerge; husbands, Willard Harms and Lowell Klancke; son, Ronald Harms; granddaughter, Donna Harms; sister, LaVera Koehler and her husband, Herb; brother, Gilbert ZumBerge and his wife, Leona; brothers-in-law, Milan Henning, Gordon Harms and Merlin Harms.
