The Arlington Historical Society has received a $6,500 grant from the Carl & Verna Schmidt Foundation for the AHS museum remodeling project, according to AHS Secretary Dwight Grabitske.

This grant will enable the society to complete the first phase of the nearly $20,000 project and will provide a great start to the second phase.

This is the largest grant the Schmidt Foundation has given to the Arlington Historical Society, acccording to Grabitske.  The foundation has provided five grants totaling $13,800 to the Arlington Historical Society since the society first applied for a grant in 2007.
