City Council acts on Arli-Dazzle requests

The Arlington City Council, at its regular meeting on Monday evening, Oct. 20, unanimously approved a motion to approve five requests in conjunction with the Arli-Dazzle festivities.
The requests, which were presented by Arli-Dazzle Committee Chairperson Kim Schneider, included a parade route permit and “No Parking” signs along Adams Street, closing a portion of Main Street for pre-parade activities on Saturday, Dec. 6, placement of fire pits on a public right-of-way during the parade, use of the city parking lot on Main Street as a Fish House Camp, and overtime and city resources on Saturday, Dec. 6.
In addition, the City Council unanimously adopted a resolution to approve the request from the Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce Arli-Dazzle Committee for an outdoor festival event on Saturday, Dec. 6.
