Craig and Linnea Bullert, owners of Chef Craig’s Catering, voiced some concerns  to the City Council over the new caterers’ fee which was recently implemented at the Arlington Community Center.

“We recognize the city’s need to increase revenue at the Arlington Community Center,” Craig Bullert told the City Council during its regular meeting on Monday night, March 2. “Through our 21 years of catering experience, we feel we can offer valuable insight as to how other facilities implement similar fees.”

The current caterers’ fee at the Community Center is a tiered scale which the Bullerts believe will inhibit smaller parties who require a catered meal from renting the local facility. They recommended a true sliding scale which would be fair to any size party. Two suggestions were to charge $1 per person served or 15 percent of the catered meal.
