County Board accepts 3 grants

The Sibley County Board, at its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 26, accepted three grants from the Blandin Foundation.  These grants were awarded to Sibley County on behalf of the RS Fiber Communities.  


The first grant is in the amount of $3,750 to be used for business and resident computer training.   The grant money will be used for technology classes and programs like QuickBooks, Excel, Word, social media, Google Maps, basic computer programs, and business websites.  


The second grant is in the amount of $5,000 and will be used for website and social media development.   This grant will be used to put small business owners in touch with web designers and social media experts who can help small business owners design and update their business profiles on the internet.
