Jason and Sondra Foster have plans to renovate an old historic building in Green Isle and eventually move their business there.

The couple, who has owned Country Style Accents located about eight miles southeast of Green Isle for five years, purchased the old Citizens State Bank building located along Highway 25 in Green Isle last April. The building, which was constructed around 1900, originally housed a bank until 1954 and later became the Green Isle Post Office until 1984. A dental office was located in the back of the building for many years. After that the building was converted into apartments for several years.

The Fosters plan to completely renovate the building and relocate the refinished furniture part of their business into the building. The event rentals part of the business will remain at their residence.

“We’re still planning for the fall of 2017,” said Sondra, who grew up in Maple Grove.
