New formation for the Sibley County Economic Development Commission

The Sibley County Board approved the dissolution of the current Sibley Economic Development Commission (SEDCO) and approved the formation of a new economic development committee.


The action took place at the County Board’s regular meeting on Tuesday morning, July 28.   


The new committee will consist of a seven voting member executive committee consisting of one member from each commissioner district, two city or city EDA representatives and one ex-officio County Board member.  The executive committee will be part of the 15-member committee of a whole which will include representatives from retail, manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, finance, education and health care.
