The visiting Sibley East varsity football team closed out its regular season with a 28-20 loss to Norwood Young America on Wednesday night, Oct. 19.

The Wolverines jumped out to an early lead when junior running back Kevin Durham raced 10 yards for a touchdown. A pass for the two-point conversion fell incomplete as Sibley East had to settle for a 6-0 lead with 19 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Raiders answered with a 5-yard touchdown pass from junior Cade Zellmann to senior Kellen Erpenbach. Senior Zach Stockman followed with the extra point kick as NYA jumped ahead 7-6 with 8:38 remaining in the second frame.
