Marlin ‘Butch’ Wolter, Brooklyn Park

Marlin (Butch) Wolter, age 66, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Lester Prairie, passed away at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis on Monday, Jan. 2.
Burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Marlin was born to Bill and Hilda (Noll) Wolter of Lester Prairie at the Glencoe Hospital on July 6, 1950. Marlin served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, serving one year in Vietnam.
Marlin is survived by his wife, Senja; daughter, Kerry and family; stepson and stepdaughter and families; brother, Donald (Donna) Wolter of Arlington; sister, Shirley (Gary) Kloempken of Gaylord; sister-in-law, Myra (Larry) Lawrenz of Winter Haven, Fla.; as well as nieces and nephews.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Hilda Wolter; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Hillard Latzke; sister, Mavis Wolter and brother, Harlan Wolter.
May he rest in peace.
