Sibley East Superintendent Jim Amsden provided an update on the United Methodist Church parking lot to the Sibley East School Board on Tuesday night, Feb. 21.  Amsden stated that the estimated assessments for the parking lot and alley would be roughly $15,915.

Amsden provided a rough drawing of what the parking spaces may look like.  The drawing showed approximately 24 parking spaces.  Amsden mentioned that sidewalks would be put in on the north side of the lot and eastern edge toward the school and was concerned the sidewalks may create more of a setback for the parking lot.

Another concern is that the lot is currently zoned residential and the school would have to deal with zoning and permitting.
