The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Tuesday night, Feb. 21, approved a series of recommendations to assist with recruitment and retention at the Arlington Fire Department.

The City Council first unanimously approved a motion to approve a $500 signing bonus for new firefighters.

The City Council also unanimously approved a motion to approve the hourly pay increase from $10 per call/hour to $12.50 per call/hour effective in 2017.
