The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Tuesday night, Feb. 21, reviewed a few recommendations from the Ambulance Committee on recruitment.

The Ambulance Committee, which recently met with representatives from the Arlington Ambulance Service, discussed collaborating with the Gaylord Ambulance Service and leasing the Arlington Ambulance Service to the Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center.

However, the ambulance staff would like to keep the ambulance in Arlington and focus on advertising for volunteers. The primary focus would be advertising for ambulance drivers (emergency medical responders) to relieve the fire department from making medical calls.
