The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday night, July 17, voted 3-2 and approved a motion to reopen discussions on the alley improvement project  behind the United Methodist Church, listen to all viewpoints, and review and approve the property owner assessment during a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 24.

City Council members Michelle Battcher, Tom Hat-lestad and James Jaszewski all voted in favor of the motion.
City Council members Adam Cowell and Jim Heiland voted against the motion.

Hatlestad requested that the issue to reopen discussions be placed on the agenda at the regular meeting.

Hatlestad was frustrated that the scope of the alley improvement project, which is an alternative as part of the 2017 Street & Utility Improvement Project, was changed in June after it was approved in May.
