The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Tuesday night, Feb. 20, learned that there are seven applicants for the open full-time police officer position on the Arlington Police Department.

Arlington Police Chief John Petterson reported the news to the City Council.

The position became open when the City Council accepted the resignation of police officer Scott Sandquist in late January.
