Ordell A. Bressler, 87, Gaylord

Ordell A. Bressler, age 87, of Gaylord, passed away at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23. Rev. Deborah Dawson will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the church on Friday, Feb. 23.
Interment will be in High Island Cemetery in New Auburn.
Ordell was born to George and Elsie (Brede) Borchert in Round Grove Township, McLeod County on April 11, 1930.  She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed as a youth. On Sept. 14, 1947, she married Vernon Sprengeler and they were blessed with a daughter, Vanna. They shared 21 years of marriage until Vernon passed away in 1969. On March 7, 1970, Ordell married Glenn Bressler and they shared 23 years of marriage until he passed away in 1993.
Ordell was blessed with four grandchildren and she loved the “Grandma” weekends they spent together. She and Glenn loved making them deep fried shrimp among other treats as well. She cherished the time she spent with her daughter and her family. Ordell had a huge heart for animals especially cats and dogs. She enjoyed her career as a cook at a variety of places and listening to polka and old country western music. She fondly remembered the country western music trip she and Glenn took to Nashville as well as their trips to local casinos.
Ordell is survived by her son-in-law, Kraig Knacke of New Auburn; grandchildren, Troy (Sheila) Knacke of Gaylord, Michelle (David) Rischmiller of New Auburn, Clint (Michelle) Knacke of Minnetrista, and Mindy Knacke (Dean Lemke) of Waverly; great-grandchildren, Larissa (Ben), Claire, Tory, Ty, Brooke, Kayla, and Lexi Lemke; her first great-great grandchild due March 2018; step-children, Tony (Helen) Bressler, James (Kris) Bressler, and Wanda Rosenwinkle; sisters-in-law, Audrey Borchert, Lyla Smith, Delores Bressler, Colleen Bressler, Glenda Effertz, and Mavis Grimmelman (Roger); and many other relatives and friends.   
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vanna; husbands, Vernon and Glenn; brother, Duane Borchert; brothers-in-law, Bob Smith, Herman Bressler, Ronald Bressler, and Jack Effertz.
