The filing period for seven Sibley County positions and two supervisors on the Soil and Water Conservation District will open on Tuesday, May 22.

The seats that will be on the  General Election for Tuesday, Nov, 6 will include three County Commissioner seats in Districts 1, 4 and 5; the positions of County Attorney, County Recorder, County Auditor-Treasurer and County Sheriff. Supervisors will also be elected for District 1 and District 2 of the Soil and Water Conservation District.

Bobbie Harder currently serves as commissioner for the First District. The First District includes the City of Henderson, Washington Lake Township, Faxon Township, Henderson Township and Jessenland Township. Harder is currently serving her first four-year term on the Sibley County Board of Commissioners.
