Sam Meeker, a member of Boy Scout Troop 361, Norwood Young America, was recently honored during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at Church of Peace in Norwood. His Eagle project included erecting a church sign with mass times at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Green Isle. Meeker designed and managed the construction of a sign with priest name and mass time. The sign included brick pillars and landscaping around it. The sign is located on the front lawn of St. Brendan’s. His project included over 140 volunteer hours. Sam is a junior at Central High School in Norwood. He has been active in Scouting for over 12 years and has earned 27 merit badges. He is the son of Todd and Connie Meeker, Green Isle. He is also the grandson of Arlene (Meyers) Marek, Arlington.
