Gaylord resident Diana Karau spoke to the Sibley East School Board about the proposed tax increment financing (TIF) district for the proposed medical school in Gaylord on Monday night, May 21.

Karau presented information from the Office of the State Auditor on TIF plan requirements.

Karau said she recently talked to a representative from the American Osteopathic Association. The representative, according to Karua, said the proposed medical school in Gaylord has received candidacy status. The proposed medical school still has to receive pre-accreditation and then accreditation. Candidacy status does not guarantee that the proposed medical school will receive pre-accreditation and accreditation.
