SE approves up to $15,000 for bi-directional amplifier

The Sibley East School Board, during its regular monthly meeting in Arlington on Monday night, May 21, voted 5-0 and approved a motion to approve an expenditure of up to $15,000 for the addition of a bi-directional amplifier at the Sibley East Middle School/High School in Arlington to support emergency management radio communications.


School Board members Brian Brandt, Avery Grochow, Laura Reid, Missy Weber and Sarah Ziegler all voted in favor of the motion.
School Board member Dan Woehler was not present during this portion of the meeting.


The bid for the project came in around $35,000-plus, according to Superintendent Jim Amsden.
