Audrey M. Sickmann, 92, Arlington

Audrey M. Sickmann, age 92, of Arlington, passed away peacefully at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society on Sunday, Oct. 6.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arlington at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14. Deacon Tim Dolan will officiate.
A visitation will occur one hour prior to the service time at the church on Monday, Oct. 14.
Interment will take place in the church cemetery.  
Audrey Mae Sickmann was born in Minneapolis to Arthur “Frenchie” and Rosetta (Bauer) Morisette on March 4, 1927. She grew up in Henderson and was a graduate of Henderson High School. On Sept. 8, 1946, she married Reuben Sickmann at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Henderson. Audrey was a homemaker and was socially active in the community as well as an officer, organizer, leader and member of many organizations, especially those having to do with St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Sibley County. At age 52, she began working at the Arlington Enterprise and was a dedicated employee for 25 years before she retired. Audrey loved her family and was always very proud of all their achievements and successes. In her middle years, she loved playing cards, driving around the countryside of Arlington and Henderson, and fishing with Reuben. They were able to travel to many national destinations. In her later years she travelled internationally with her sisters. Audrey was an avid reader and writer, loved classical and most all music, her French heritage, and varied outings including dining out. Throughout Audrey’s life, her friends, family, and the beauty of nature (including birds and flowers), art, decorating, clothing, etc. were paramount and gave her great joy!
Audrey is survived by her children and spouses, Renee (Dan) Jaroscak of Coon Rapids, Sandy (Joe) Monahan of Burnsville and Mark (Colleen) Sickmann of Big Lake; grandchildren, Danielle (Adam) Gutzmer, Natasha (Nate) Streit, Meghan (Jeff) Kinate, Michael (Julie) Monahan, Michaela (Cody) Berra, Micah (Anna) Sickmann and Kodie Sickmann; great grandchildren, Helena, Theo, Emmie, Brody, Taylor, Nathan and Luca; sisters, Doreen Smith, Yvonne Knutson and Rosalie (Gene) Grazzini.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents; and parents-in-law; husband, Reuben; and siblings, Lloyd, Art and baby Morisette.
