The Sibley County Commissioners, during their regular meeting on Tuesday morning, Oct. 23, voted 4-1 and approved a motion to move the county attorney and his staff to full-time beginning Dec. 1.

According to County Administrator Roxy Traxler, this was on the consent agenda due to a request from County Attorney Dave Schauer.  Schauer has sold his private practice so the county attorney and staff plan to move to the Sibley County Courthouse in Gaylord on Dec. 1.

The County Board previously passed a resolution to move the county attorney and his staff to full-time in January of 2019. Traxler said the additional staff costs will have to come out of reserves, if needed, at the end of the year.
