Several Sibley County residents submitted petition letters to the Sibley County Board to pave County Road 63 during a regular meeting in Gaylord on Tuesday morning, May 8.

The letters state that “63 is very busy with not only residential and crop productions agriculture traffic but also (traffic) to and from Sunrise Dairy and Sibley Hog facilities which are located along the road.  Both facilities employ a large number of people that utilize the road daily.”

The letters also state that “in the early 1980’s when Sibley County Road 13 was rebuilt and hard surfaced 63 was also rebuilt. At that time we were told that at some point in the future there may be a possibility of also tarring 63.”
