Sibley County Commissioner Bill Pinske and Chief Deputy Pat Nienaber presented an update on the emergency radio coverage issues in Arlington to the Sibley County Board on Tuesday morning, May 8.

Pinske stated that the committee met again on April 30, but that Alpha Wireless has not given a firm price on the bidirectional antenna for the Sibley East School. Pinske stated that it will cost approximately $45,000 for wiring and installation of the antenna at Sibley East.  He proposed that the City of Arlington pay one-third of the cost, Sibley East one-third, and Sibley County one-third.  He stated that the City of Arlington has already agreed to pay its $15,000.  Pinske reported that in order to get the system up and running for the next school year they have to get started by June 15.
