The Sibley County Board of Commissioners, during their regular meeting on Tuesday morning, Feb. 27, voted 4-1 and approved a motion to approve out-of-state travel for Health Educator Mary Bachman to attend the National Network of Public Health Institutes Annual Conference in New Orleans, La., from Tuesday, May 22 through Thursday, May 24.

County Commissioner Bobbie Harder questioned how wanting to attend this conference came about.

Public Health and Human Services Director John Glisczinski stated that the Community Health Services (CHS) administrator found this and thought it would benefit Sibley County because topics like behavioral health and rural health would be covered.
