Eunice Paul, 74, Norwood Young America

Eunice May (Pautsch) Paul, age 74, of Norwood Young America, passed away at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe on Thursday, Aug. 2.
Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5. Pastor Josh Bernau officiated. The organist was Rita Luecke.
Pastor Eric Hutchison provided special music with “Come To Jesus.”
Congregational hymns were  “In The Garden,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.”
Casket bearers were  Eunice’s  four grandsons and two God children ~ Dustin Pautsch, Collin Pautsch, Jonathan Braunwarth, Nolan Braunwarth, Ryan Pautsch and Brandon Bembenek.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
Eunice May (Pautsch) Paul was born in Blakeley on June 13, 1944.  She was the daughter of Christ and Frieda (Vinkemeier) Pautsch. Eunice was baptized as an infant at Trinity Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine on June 23, 1944, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth by Rev. Malotky at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle on June 8, 1959.  She received her education in Arlington, graduating with the Arlington-Green High School Class of 1962.
On Aug. 21, 1976, Eunice was united in marriage to Kenneth “Ken” Paul at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America.  They made their home in Norwood Young America, and Grinnell, Iowa.  Eunice and Kenneth were blessed with 41 years of marriage until Kenneth passed away on Nov. 29, 2017.
Eunice worked as a bookkeeper at Burlington Northern from 1966 to 1991. Then while living in Grinnell, Iowa, she worked as a church secretary from 1991 to 1995.  After moving back to Minnesota, Eunice worked at Mammoth from 1995 to 2010, retiring in 2010.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, where she was a member of the LWML.  
Eunice enjoyed working, reading, embroidering, bowling, game shows and watching the Minnesota Twins.  She loved the time spent with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Eunice is survived by her children, Christine (Daniel) Braunwarth of Norwood Young America, and Jason (Amy) Pautsch of Arlington; grandchildren, Miranda (Matthew) Arnst of Norwood Young America, Dustin Pautsch of Jackson, Jonathan Braunwarth of Minneapolis, Collin Pautsch (special friend, Sadie Quast) of Arlington, Nolan Braunwarth of Norwood Young America, and Grace Braunwarth of Norwood Young America; step children, Kathy Sue Latzig (friend, Patrick “Rocky” Giesen) of Waconia, Melissa (Mike) Beck of Minnetonka,  Scott Paul of Litchfield, Ann Marie (Robert) Swanson of Alabama, and Jacquelyn Munsell of Litchfield; step grandchildren, Becky (Chris) Mohler, Brian Swanson, Benjamin Swanson, Annie Jo (Rodger) Gresczyk, Casey (Angie) Ryan, Kimberly Huskinson, David Beck, Greta Beck, Ashley (Jeff) Robinson, and Sophia Paul; 12 step great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Elaine (Daryl) Woods of Arlington, Darlene Tanke of Mound, and Maynard (Gail) Pautsch of Remer; sisters-in-law, Ki Ki Pautsch of Coon Rapids, Marian (Dick) Pinkerton of Apache Junction, Ariz.; nieces nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, Christ and Frieda Pautsch; husband, Kenneth “Ken” Paul; brother, Orville Pautsch; and sister-in-law, Betty Johnson.
