The Green Isle Irish baseball team split a pair of games in the Region 7C Baseball Tournament and is one win away from a berth in the upcoming Minnesota State Class C Amateur Baseball Tournament.
The Irish will face Waconia in an elimination game at Waconia at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9.

The Green Isle Irish baseball team, during a game interupted by a 90-minute rain delay, defeated Carver 4-2 in the opening round of the Region 7C Baseball Tournament at Waconia on Friday night, Aug. 3.

The Irish took an early lead with a run in the top of the third inning.
