The visiting Sibley East varsity boys basketball team, behind the scoring of seniors Gavin Bates and Austin Weckwerth, toppled G-F-W 71-35 in non-conference action on Thursday night, Jan. 4.

Bates poured in 33 points while Weckwerth pumped in 22 points. Seniors Jacob Willmsen and Alex Sell netted eight and six points respectively. Junior Jens Lundstrom added two points.

The Wolverines blistered the nets as they hit 24 of 33 shots from two-point range for 73 percent. Sibley East also canned five of 15 attempts from three-point land for 33 percent. The Wolverines added eight of nine foul shots for 89 percent.
