The Sibley East varsity wrestling team placed second during the Norwood Young America Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 6.

Northfield captured top honors with 194 team points while Sibley East placed second with 189 team points. Wabasso-Red Rock Central finished third with 160 team points. New Ulm (155), Waseca (118.5), New London-Spicer (92.5), Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (69), Eden Valley-Watkins (59), Robbinsdale Armstrong (38), Minnehaha Academy (36) and Norwood Young America (33) rounded out the field.

Thomas Battcher (182) was the lone champion for Sibley East.
