Only three letterwinners, including two starters, return for the Sibley East varsity boys basketball team that posted a 10-2 mark in the Minnesota River Conference and a 20-6 record overall.

The starters include seniors Gavin Bates and Austin Weckwerth.

Bates, who set the Sibley East single game scoring record with 48 points last season, averaged 24 points and nine rebounds per game last year. The four-year varsity player surpassed 1,000 career points last season.

Weckwerth, who is also a four-year varsity player, averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game last season.

The third returning letterwinner is senior Kevin Durham, Jr.
