The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday night, May 20, unanimously adopted a resolution to approve Ordinance 325 entitled “An interim ordinance establishing a moratorium on the residency of predatory offenders within the city limits.”

The ordinance will go into effect after a legal publication in the Arlington Enterprise.

The City Council made the move after it held the second reading of the ordinance earlier in the regular meeting.

The issue of an interim ordinance was raised after a Community Notification Meeting was held in conjunction with a Level 3 sex offender who recently moved into the City of Arlington.
