The Arlington Economic Development Authority (EDA), during its meeting on Monday night, July 9, voted 5-0 and approved a motion to fully support a proposal from CEO Matthew Johnson for his business, Ninkasi Hops, to locate in Arlington.

Ninkasi Hops is a hydroponics company that plans to develop an indoor growing facility to grow hops for craft breweries.

Johnson has interest in 10.45 acres of land owned by the City of Arlington and located on the northeast corner of Highway 5 and County Road 9.

“The property along Highway 5 meets all of our site requirements so we are excited about the prospects of locating our growing facility in Arlington,” said Johnson.
