Denise Swenson, owner of the Arlington Haus for the past 25-plus years, has purchased the former Hog Wild bar/restaurant from the Mary Ann Buck family in Henderson.
Denise will close on the deal within the next week. The plan is to open the bar/restaurant sometime in mid October.
Her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Amy Ross, will operate the business which will be called the Henderson RoadHaus. The couple plans to purchase the business from Denise in the future.
“It will be all of the things people love about the Arlington Haus, in addition to classic and creative Italian dishes,” said Danny. “In the hall, we plan to host banquets, wedding receptions and dances, live music and much more.”
Plus, Danny will give dance  lessons in the hall at Henderson on Wednesday nights. He currently gives dance lessons in the Arlington Haus Too on Monday evenings.
Danny will be the third generation in his family to operate a restaurant. His grandfather, Bill Ross, owned restaurants in St. Paul years ago.
His brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Lisa Ross, will help out at the new business along with his aunt, Debbie Swenson.
“The whole family will be involved,” Danny said.
“Without the support of Arlington and Sibley County all these years, we would not have had the opportunity for our new adventure,” said Denise. “We are looking forward to also being a part of the Henderson community too. We would also like to thank the Buck family for its support during the process and its encouragement to open the Henderson RoadHaus.”
