City Council accepts low bid for the Street Improvement Project

The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday night, April 15, unanimously adopted a resolution to accept the low bid and award a contract for the 2024 Street & Utility Improvement Project to Holtmeier Construction, Inc. in the amount of $5,949,554.27. City Council members Curtis Ling, Christina Litfin, Jeff Matz, Dave Meyer and John Thomes all voted in support of the resolution. Bolton & Menk representative Jason Femrite said 10 bids were received for the 2024 Street & Utility Improvement Project. Femrite said the lowest bid came in about 12 percent under the engineer’s estimate for the project. He added that it will save the City of Arlington approximately $800,000.
