At the regular Sibley East School Board meeting on Monday night, July 17, Stu’s Rainbow Inn owner Phyllis Kroehler presented the School Board with a petition containing 395 signatures to keep an open lunch at Sibley East.

Superintendent Jim Amsden commented that a letter was received from the Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce to keep an open lunch period.

He also stated that Pastor Stemme from the Arlington United Methodist Church was in favor of an open lunch period.
Amsden added that the School Board would need a strong reason to close it.
