The Sibley East School, during its regular monthly meeting on Monday night, Oct. 16, reviewed three options to address the locker shortage at the Arlington site.

The first option involves modifying 85 lockers so they could be doubled up for use by two students. This would cost $30 each or a total of $2,496.

The second option is to replace 390 old lockers instead of electrostatically painting them.  The cost to replace the current lockers would be $132.29 each or $51,593.10. This would be minus the money allocated for electrostatic painting which would bring the cost down to around $41,000.

The third option includes replacing the 390 lockers, plus adding approximately 50 additional lockers so that each student can have their own locker. The additional lockers will cost approximately $8,000 to $10,000.
